EIC and IDEA Grant

The Eastern Idaho Chapter (EIC) of the Idaho Dressage and Eventing Association (IDEA) is excited to announce a new Grant Program for IDEA members!

In partnership with IDEA, EIC is offering two educational grants for 2022!

  •  $250 for members who have selected Eastern Idaho as their chapter during membership renewal
  • $250 for IDEA members state-wide (any chapter affiliation or state-wide only)

Each grant is open to all rider divisions: Junior/YR, Adult Amateur and Open

Grants are to be used for educational purposes. Examples of educational purposes include, but are not limited to:

  • Lessons with your regular trainer at your home/boarding barn
  • Lessons with a trainer at a different barn
  • Lessons in a Clinic
  • Show Management Education/Certification
  • Judges Programs

Examples of purposes the grant proceeds cannot be utilized for include but are not limited to:

  • Tack, feed or any other supply purchases
  • Regular boarding costs
  • Show related expenses
  • Membership renewal

The Dressage Foundation

The Dressage Foundation, thanks to it’s generous donors, they are able to offer a wide range of grants and programs to meet the needs of dressage enthusiasts across the board. Here are a few for Adult Amateurs.

  • Gifted Memorial Fund This Fund was seeded with donations received in special remembrance of Carol Lavell’s great dressage horse, Gifted.
  • Jane Savoie – The Jane Savoie Adult Amateur Fund was established in memory of Jane, whose dedication, commitment, intelligence, and passion for the classical art of dressage was her life-long work. 
  • Lynn Palm Western Dressage  – The Lynn Palm Western Dressage Fund was established at The Dressage Foundation in 2019 by Lynn in celebration of her 50 years as a professional equestrian and to give back to the sport she loves.
